The happiest people are those who give themselves to others. It is not without reason that God, who cares most about our happiness, encourages us to be generous: "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly.”
2 Co 9: 6-8
Your time, skills, smile, talents, and finances are areas in which, as Dom Church members, we can put our generosity to a good use.
It’s not always easy, because our egoism seems to be such an integral part of ourselves. However, we are continuously getting more and more familiar with generosity. That is why we refurnished the abandoned former headquarters of the "Kadr" Culture Center at Gotarda 16 street. We turned it into a bright, warm cafe, a place where we organize many concerts, meetings for both adults and children. (for which, thanks to the generosity of Dom Church Members, have 4 beautiful and functional rooms).
In August 2019, we prepared an extraordinary event for children from the closest neighborhood- free of cost-"Day Camp". Our volunteers devoted a lot of time, talents and money to be a part of this event. It was definitely worth it. Seeing kids’ smiles during multiple workshops and activities was amazing. There were, among many others, sports games, beginner kick boxing classes and various workshops such as basics of economics, cooking, photography, music, chemistry or first aid course.
